Over 40, Gaining Weight & Feeling Confused About Fitness?
Welcome to Fit Is Fun – My Personal Fit Over 45 Active Life Online Home!
Fitness doesn’t have to be confusing.
I equip women, and the brave men who sneak in 😄, over 40/50+, with the knowledge and tools to understand nutrition, design their own workouts, and stay strong, healthy, confident – and actually like what they see in the mirror.
Over 40, watching the scale creep up, and not sure where the confusion ends and an actual plan begins?
You’re in the right place. Weight gain after 40 is rarely about willpower — it’s usually that nobody’s explained the “why” behind nutrition and training in a way that fits your actual life. That’s what I do here.
Scroll down for my free Starter Resources — simple “what to eat when” guidelines and a beginner workout with step-by-step videos. Grab them and I’ll email you the link to my Full Body Routine Tracker as a thank-you. It’s an online page listing your beginner routine, with a video for every exercise so you can watch it before you even set foot in the gym. Log your weights, sets and reps as you train, and next time you’ll pick up instantly where you left off. Your entire workout history stays private, saved only on your own device.
I started training at 45. No background. No clue.
This is what happened:
Before you look at that bar and think “that’s not for me” — it wasn’t for me either, at the start. This is years of small, ordinary workouts stacking up, not a day-one expectation. Nobody hands you 80kg on their first visit to the gym. You begin exactly where I did: with nothing.
Years later, one result is this 👇

and, through the years, this 🙂:

👇 New here and not sure where to start?
My free Starter Guide walks you through simple “what to eat when” guidelines for training and rest days; plus a beginner workout with short how-to videos for every exercise — so you can watch and practise before you ever set foot in a gym. No gym background needed. No guesswork.
Just a clear first step.

Hello & welcome to my online home 🙂
Here, on my website, I’m giving my point of view on how to “raise the bar” fitness and health-wise, even at the age of 45+, without any previous experience in gym workouts and without having trained anything before.
The majority of personal trainers are completely my opposite — they’ve probably been active as kids; they’ve tried different sports; or many of them were even pro athletes.
However, the majority of people are like me 🙂. I’m not saying I had a completely sedentary life, no, but I didn’t do much exercise either.
So, when it comes to actually deciding to go to the gym, perform workouts, design a nutrition plan — that all looks a bit overwhelming, doesn’t it?
Yet, it is achievable — even without having a personal trainer, if you prefer it that way.
Now that I have done it, YOU can do it, too.
My online home is here for you to help🙂.
I help adults over 40 move from confusion to understanding — and from depending on motivation, trends, and internet advice to becoming confident enough to make their own fitness decisions.
Most people already know how to eat. They’ve been eating their whole lives.
So nutrition doesn’t need to become scary or complicated — it usually just needs intelligent readjustment.
Training is different.
Most of us haven’t trained our whole lives, so strength training can feel intimidating at first. Exercises, sets, reps, progressive overload, recovery, food timing — it all looks overwhelming until someone explains how it works.
That’s what I do here.
I translate the basics of fitness and nutrition into simple, practical steps so you can stop copying random advice and start understanding your own body.

👋 Hi, I’m Nadya — your Fit Over 40 Fixer & Mission Possible Deployer 💪
I started at 45. Still thriving at 51+.
Still eating chocolate. Still sleeping with abs (evidence: further down this page🍫🕶️)
After experimenting, lifting, testing, reading, and occasionally laughing at fitness trends that make no sense — I created my own approach. A method that actually works for those of us who want to look, feel, and live better at 40, 50, and beyond.
It’s called the Fit & Glow Method.
It combines the ingredients that truly make a difference: power moves, mobility, strength, hypertrophy, and just a touch of smart cardio (if you absolutely must 😉). Nutrition is adjusted for exercise and rest days, supplements are selected with a pinch of biohacking curiosity, and yes — even face yoga makes the cut, because those muscles need training too!
All this happens with one rule in mind: adequate rest and minimal stress. Because you don’t build a strong, glowing body by grinding yourself into the ground — you build it by respecting it.
The method has four simple stages:
Translate — make fitness and nutrition science simple and usable.
Understand — learn the principles behind food, training, recovery, and progress.
Apply — adjust your nutrition and build workouts that fit your life.
Independence — reach the point where you know what to do without constantly relying on trends, diets, or motivation.
Our motto? You don’t wait till you’re fit and strong to try. You get fit and strong because you try!
💪 You don’t need the whole method to start.
The free Starter Guide is the simple “what to eat, how to train” basics I wish someone had handed me at 45. Start here — the rest can wait.

⚙️ About the Fit & Glow Method
The Fit & Glow Method was born from one simple truth: after 40, your body doesn’t need less — it needs better.
This system blends science, structure, and psychology — guiding women and men 40+ to train like athletes without intimidation, burnout, or confusion. It’s not about endless cardio or dieting harder — it’s about rebuilding strength, energy, and body confidence through intelligent movement and fuel.
Fit & Glow was shaped by the wisdom of four key figures whose research and philosophies inspired my own transformation:
- 🧬 Dr. Stacy Sims — exercise physiologist and author of Next Level, who proved that women are not small men. Her work shows that women over 40 must lift and fuel smart to maintain hormonal balance, bone density, and vitality.
- 🏋️♀️ Erin Stern — two-time Figure Olympia Champion and author of Train Like a Bodybuilder, who teaches that when you train for performance, aesthetics naturally follow. Her balanced, progressive approach inspired my method’s focus on skill over punishment.
- 💪 Arnold Schwarzenegger — the icon whose New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding reminds us that “Bodybuilding isn’t rocket science — though it may look like it at first.” His belief that “The mind is the limit” drives my philosophy that results come from consistency, not extremes.
- 🔬 Chris Tiley — physiotherapist and author of Never Too Old to Lift, who helps adults 50+ rebuild their strength safely. His science proves it’s never too late to start — and I believe it’s best to start as soon as possible after 40.
The Fit & Glow Method distills their principles into one framework: strong form, balanced fuel, progressive challenge, and consistent confidence.
And because I’m a bit of a nerd scientist when it comes to fitness, nutrition, and anti-age, I’ve spent thousands of hours studying, reading, and testing everything I found fascinating — from muscle science and nutrition timing to hormones, longevity, and recovery. Books, research papers, videos — I’ve devoured them all (so my Mission Possible Agents don’t have to 😉).
That deep dive is how the Fit & Glow Method took shape — grounded in science, tested in real life, and sprinkled with humour and fun, because fitness should never feel like punishment (it’s NOT — it’s FUN).

Whether you’re returning to the gym or starting for the first time, this approach helps you build visible results — and deep inner pride — in as little as six weeks. It’s not a quick fix. It’s the foundation for your next (and strongest) decade.
🎓 A quick note about my background.
Everything I teach is built on lived experience, thousands of hours of study, and formal qualifications, including a Fitness Diploma (Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor) and the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Nutrition & Health.
But my greatest qualification is much simpler: I started exactly where many people over 40 are today.

🍰 Fitness Advice in Practice: The Maldives Dessert Test
This short video shows exactly what I mean by understanding nutrition instead of fearing food. I was on holiday, eating dessert every day — and yes, my clothes still fit. Not just the flip-flops 😄.
The lesson? Food order matters. Protein and fibre first. Sugary carbs last. Or as I like to say:
No naked carbs.
